Greetings!
"Life is not about waiting for the storms to pass...it's about
learning how to dance in the rain."
We've had plenty of rain
this month - is anyone dancing? or are you hibernating? Are you
putting your goals on hold? Using the weather as an
excuse?
This quote came to me in an email this week and I
decided to share it with you.
Many of us wait for the
perfect time to make lifestyle changes and the fact is there is no
time like the present. If the thought is in your head that you want
to make changes, yet your body is not taking the action to so, this
creates a dis-ease between mind and body. I've said it before, this
dis-ease over time may lead to disease and compromised
health.
Think about this: When things connect there is
usually a spark. Whether it be your electrical outlet, your car
battery or when a couple meets for the first time.
The body
has an electrical charge. That charge - that spark is responsible
for nerve communication - without which your body's systems would
not function (ie: your digestive system, respiratory system,
cardiovascular system, etc..)
What interfers with the
electrical charge of our body?
For one heavy metals - here
are a few examples. Aluminum can be found in many antiperspirants,
in commercial baking powders and mercury can be found in
seafood.
Electromagnetic fields can also disrupt the charge
of your body. They are present in microwaves, computers, cell
phones, to name a few.
But the one I want to focus on today
are thoughts.
Our thoughts have a charge - that's why they
call them positive and negative thoughts. Did you know that positive
thoughts can improve health and negative ones can compromise it. You
have the power to change those thoughts. Only you. When you realize
that the negative thoughts are hurting you and no one else you may
be more apt to "dance in the rain" as stated so beautifully in the
poem above.
